6 Reasons to believe in healing

1.    Jesus based His credibility on the working of miracles; including healing.

(John 10:37-38 NIV) Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.

2.    Jesus’ power to heal was proof of His ability to forgive sins.

(Mark 2:9-11 NKJV) Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Arise, take up your bed and walk'? "But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"; He said to the paralytic, "I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."

3.    It is God’s nature to heal.

(Exodus 15:26 NKJV) "If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you."

*notice the present tense of God’s promise.

(Psalms 103:2-3 NKJV) Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,

4.    Healing is included in the ministry of the 70 Jesus sent.

(Luke 9:2 NKJV) He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

(Luke 10:8-9 NKJV) Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you. And heal the sick there, and say to them, 'The kingdom of God has come near to you.'

5.    Jesus promised the work of healing to His followers as a sign.

(John 14:12-14 NKJV) Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

(Mark 16:17-18 NKJV) And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

6.    The gift of healings is included as a means to build up the church.

(1 Corinthians 12:7,9 NKJV) But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all…to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
